ON CONTACT EQUIVALENCE OF MONGE-AMPERE EQ UATIONS

The problem of contact equivalence of Monge-Ampere's equations with tw o independent variables is considered. In case where the Monge-Ampere' s equation in question is in a general position, it can be naturally c ompared with affine connection. The mentioned comparison makes it poss ible to formulate and prove some criteria for contact equivalence of r eal analytic Monge-Ampere's equations of a general position using appr opriate properties of affine connections.
