Abstract
The human ryanodine receptor type 3 (RYR3) was cloned from a fetal bra in cDNA library and its complete sequence was determined (EMBL accessi on number AJ001515). The sequenced cDNA spanned 15564 bp and contained an open reading frame of 14613 bp, The corresponding protein consiste d of 4870 amino acids with a calculated molecular mass of 552 kDa, Ami no acid sequence identities to the RYR3 proteins from rabbit, mink, an d chicken were 96%, 95%, and 83% respectively, A previously unidentifi ed alternative splice site was detected generating a transcript that l acked bases 11569-11650 and encoded a truncated protein.
