Abstract
An object-oriented parallel finite element framework has been develope d to facilitate rapid prototyping of a wine variety of parallel finite element computations. Parallel computing and object-oriented technolo gies are integrated to achieve efficiency in both computation and soft ware development. The paper presents various reusable and extensible c omponents that constitute the parallel finite element architecture.
