MULTIVARIATE-ANALYSIS OF PRONOSTIC FACTOR S FOR PAPILLARY THYROID-CARCINOMA - A RETROSPECTIVE STUDY OF 52 CASES

A retrospective study about 52 cases of papillary thyroid carcinomas w as carried out with emphasis on histopathological features. The mean f ollow rip period was 10 years. The survival curves were estimated usin g the Kaplan-Meier method and compared using the log rank tear. The mu ltivariate analysis was performed using the Cox's regression model. In univariate analysis, age, Tp (histopathological Extension of the tumo r), histological differentiation, VAN score (Vascular invasion nuclear Atypia tumor Necrosis) of Akslen and the LeuM1 expression were signif icant pronostic factors. In multivariate analysis, the Tp and histolog ical differentiation were associated with high risks of poor outcome.
