Abstract
The structure and magnetic properties of RCo8Mn4 compounds with R = Pr Y, Gd, Tb and Dy are investigated in this paper. All the RCo8Mn4 comp ounds crystallize in tile ThMn12-type structure. The Curie temperature and the saturation magnetization for these compounds are reported. Th e mean-field constants, related to tile R-3d exchange interaction, of TbCo8Mn4 and DyCo8Mn4 compounds have also been obtained.
