The mechanism of the alkylation of GeI2 by n-butyl bromide and methylc
obalt(III) bisdimethylglyoximate in acetonitrile was studied using cyc

anodic activation (oxidation of the methylcobalt complex), while the
reaction with n-butyl bromide is initiated by cathodic activation (red
