Ns. Khruscheva et al., SOLID-STATE REACTIONS OF ORGANOMETALLIC ALDEHYDES WITH OPTICALLY-ACTIVE PRIMARY BETA-HYDROXYAMINES, Russian chemical bulletin, 46(12), 1997, pp. 2124-2126
The solid-state reactions of crystalline ferrocenyl- and ruthenocenyla
ldehydes with optically active primary beta-hydroxyamines were studied
at similar to 20 degrees C. The yield of the products increases subst
antially in the presence of K2CO3. The tautomeric equilibrium between
imines and diastereomeric oxazolidines with the predominant formation
of one of them is established in solutions of the products in CDCl3.
