Abstract
In this paper, the inequality estimates of Bernstein basis functions a nd Meyer-Konig and Zeller basis functions are studied. Exact bounds fo r these two basis functions are obtained. Moreover. some application r esults of the new estimates in estimating the rate of convergence of D urrmeyer operators and Meyer-Koning and Zeller operators for functions of bounded variation are also given.
