Abstract
Time-resolved spectra in the 410 - 700 nm range have been obtained to investigate 10 stars which are classified as suspected chemically pecu liar stars in The General Catalogue of Ap and Am stars by Renson et al . (1991) or in the latest literature. Among the studied stars, HD 2062 9 presents metal abundances which are significantly different from mai n sequence star values and it should be classified as Silicon star. Fr om the HeI 587.6 nm line, we conclude that HD 35575 is a helium weak s tar. Because of the found radial velocity variability and the derived abundances, the periodic photometric variable HD 38602 could be an ell ipsoidal variable.
