VERIFICATION OF THE ACCURACY OF RESULTS IN THE POTENTIOMETRIC ANALYSIS OF POLYELECTROLYTES BY PK SPECTROSCOPY

An algorithm of verification is proposed and criteria of accuracy are stated For the calculated pK spectrum (the distribution function of ac id groups by pK values) of a polyelectrolyte using potentiometric data when the exact form of the pK spectrum is unknown. The computational method based on linear regression analysis restricted to non-negative solutions gives correct solutions when applied to model titration curv es of polyelectrolytes and can be promising for the potentiometric ana lysis of polyelectrolytes.
