Abstract
The spectrum of the neutral palladium atom emitted from hollow cathode discharges has been observed by means of Fourier transform spectrosco py in the region 1750-55000 Angstrom. 684 lines have been identified a s transitions between 67 even and 76 odd levels. The level structure h as been analysed by means of ab initio and parametric calculations. Is otope shift and hyperfine structure has been observed and interpreted in 24 lines. Forbidden lines caused by Stark-effect mixing have been o bserved.
