Abstract
Fluxes of phosphate were mesaured in a small shallow estuary in order to quantify their importance in a cross-section during a tidal cycle. The results show that the estuary act as a sink of phosphate due to th e action of the river and the sea, estimating their contribution in 24 2 mu mol m(-2) s(-1).
