Abstract
The importance of molecular interactions in effecting the colour of a pigment crystal is shown as a function of the types of bonding in a cr ystal. The shape and phase of pigment crystals ore illustrated by high resolution electron micrography and the determination of the structur es of pigmentary size crystals, by electron crystallography, is descri bed.
