Multifactorial analysis of the volume of telencephalic nuclear masses
of Amphibia Urodela (44 species and subspecies) helps to identify the
relationships between group taxonomy and volumetric organisation of th
e forebrain, particularly for genus Triturus. The results justify the
creation of the concept of neurotaxonomy which clarifies, on a new bas
is, systematics and neurosciences as practised on Amphibians.
