Abstract
The change in impedance of a single-turn coil coaxially situated insid e a metal tube is found in the case where the tube conductivity, sigma (r)=sigma(0)r(alpha), and magnetic permeability, mu(r) = <(mu)over til de>r(beta), are functions of the radial coordinate, r, for real number s alpha and beta satisfying the condition alpha+beta=-2 or alpha+beta= 0. Numerical computations are presented for different values of the pa rameters of the problem.
