Abstract
The optimal performance for forward and reverse quantum Stirling cycle s is studied in this paper. The finite time thermodynamic performance bound and optimization criteria for these cycles are derived. The opti mal relations between the performance parameters for quantum Stirling engines, refrigerators and heat pumps are obtained. Published by Elsev ier Science Ltd.
