Abstract
This paper briefly deals with Romania's most important hydropower plan t, Iron Gates I, on the Danube River, which is equipped with six hydro power units of 175 MW each, to consider the required matters for rehab ilitation, refurbishment and upgrading of these units after twenty-fiv e years of operation.
