The intrathoracic subclavian artery is a rare location for a periphera
l arterial atherosclerotic aneurysm when compared with the femoral and
popliteal arteries. Resection of the aneurysm and replacement with a
prosthetic graft has come to be the most commonly performed procedure
for this problem. Because of the tight adherence of surrounding tissue
s such as the vagal nerve, phrenic nerve, jugular veins, and their bra
nches, we preferred an exclusion method with revascularization to the
aneurysmorrhaphy and achieved a good result, We report the clinical as
pects of such a case.
