Abstract
An investigation into the use of impinging stream (jet) reactors for t he leaching of a free milling ore produced an increase in gold recover y by 10% while decreasing leaching time by rip to 90%. Tests on refrac tory ores demonstrate no apparent improvement in recovery. However, le aching kinetics are dramatically increased when these ores are subject ed to jet reaction prior to agitation.
