Abstract
CdS nanoparticles exhibit size dependent optical and electrical proper ties. We report here the photocurrent and I-V characteristic studies o f CdS nanoparticle devices. A sizable short circuit photocurrent was o bserved in the detection range governed by the size of the clusters. W e speculate on the mechanisms leading to the photocurrent and emission in these nanometer scale systems. (C) 1998 American Institute of Phys ics.
