Nk. Akhmedov, ANALYSIS OF THE BOUNDARY-LAYER IN THE AXISYMMETRICAL PROBLEM OF THE THEORY OF ELASTICITY FOR A RADIALLY MULTILAYERED CYLINDER AND THE PROPAGATION OF AXISYMMETRICAL WAVES, Journal of applied mathematics and mechanics, 61(5), 1997, pp. 833-842
The structures of the boundary layer are investigated using the exampl
e of the axisymmetric problem of the theory of elasticity for a radial
ly multilayered cylinder with alternating hard and soft layers. On the
basis of an asymptotic analysis of the problem, an applied theory of
stretching is proposed, which takes into account weakly decaying bound
ary-layer solutions. The propagation of asymmetric waves in a radially
multilayered cylindrical waveguide is investigated. (C) 1998 Elsevier
