K. Sato et al., DETERMINATION OF TRANEXAMIC ACID AND VITAMINS BY HIGH-PERFORMANCE LIQUID-CHROMATOGRAPHY WITH PEROXYOXALATE CHEMILUMINESCENCE DETECTION, Analytical sciences, 13, 1997, pp. 471-474
A high performance liquid chromatographic determination of tranexamic
acid and two vitamins, i.e., vitamin U chloride and anthranilic acid,
with chemiluminescence detection was investigated. o-Phthalaldehyde(OP
A) solution which contained 2-mercaptoethanol was used as a fluorescen
t labeling reagent. OPA solution was prepared by mixing OPA and 2-merc
aptoethanol in ethanol, and then diluting with berate buffer solution.
Bis(2,4,6-trichlorophenyl)oxalate and hydrogen peroxide were used a p
ostcolumn chemiluminescent reagent. The intensity of the chemiluminesc
ence was in the order of tranexamic acid> vitamin U chloride>anthranil
ic acid. The calibration curves for the compounds were linear at least
in the range from 1 x 10(-7)M to 1 x 10(-4)M. The detection limits fo
r tranexamic acid, vitamin U chloride and anthranilic acid were 5 x 10
(-8)M, 4 x 10(-7)M and 7 x 10(-7)M, respectively. The relative standar
d deviation was less than 9 %(n=5). The proposed method was applied to
the determination of tranexamic acid and vitamin U chloride in commer
cially available medicine.
