WOOD PROTECTION AGAINST BIODAMAGE WITH THE USE OF DECORATIVE COATINGS

Principal factors of wood protection against biodamage with the use of ecologically safe paint and varnish materials are considered and anal yzed. Data on the assortment of the recently developed foreign biocide s are presented. The effect of these biocides, as well as of a number of domestic aqueous varnishes, is studied experimentally in relation t o the time elapsed after application of the coating. The efficiency of the biocides as part of aqueous protective and decorative composition s is evaluated.
