The structure of Sc-43 is investigated by the alpha + 39K orthogonalit
y condition model, The properties investigated are energy spectral alp
ha-spectroscopic factors, E2, M1, and El transitions. On the whole, th
e calculated properties are in good agreement with the available exper
imental data. Low-lying levels are assigned to the weak coupling multi
plets based on alpha + K-39(3/2(+)) and alpha + K-39(1/2(+)) cluster c
onfigurations and interesting selectivities for M1 and El transitions
are discussed.
