Ok. Greengauz et al., F-ACTIN IDENTIFICATION USING PHALLOIDIN COLLOIDAL GOLD - 2 - CELLS AND SUBCELLULAR PREPARATIONS, Russian journal of plant physiology, 45(2), 1998, pp. 198-202
Structures containing filament actin (F-actin) were revealed on ultrat
hin sections and in subcellular preparations from the root tips of whe
at (Triticum aestivum L., cv. Saratovskaya 29) seedlings and stem apic
al meristems of Chenopodium rubrum using a synthesized phalloidin-coll
oidal gold marker. Several types of F-actin-containing structures were
found in these plant tissues: thick filament bundles crossing the cel
l; a cytoplasmic microfilament network enclosing, in particular, intra
cellular organelles; a subcortical network of fine filaments; and intr
avesicular F-actin-containing structures.
