Abstract
Alkylphenols 6-10 are the main metabolites isolated from the parapodia extract of the marine mollusc Haminoea callidegenita. The structure a nd the anatomical location of these compounds strongly support their p otential defensive role as alarm pheromones. (C) 1998 Elsevier Science Ltd. All rights reserved.
