Abstract
A screening action of electrons from the selvage of a solid on a molec ule scattered by a solid surface at grazing incidence is considered. E lectronic states of a neutral hydrogen molecule in the vicinity of a m etal surface are calculated using the screened Hulthen potential. Resu lts of the calculations give a dependence of the molecule potential en ergies on the electron density.
