M. Baldo et al., MICROSCOPIC STUDY OF THE EFFECTIVE PAIRING INTERACTION IN SEMIINFINITE NUCLEAR-MATTER WITH THE SEPARABLE NN-INTERACTION, Nuclear physics. A, 628(4), 1998, pp. 503-536
The problem of pairing in semi-infinite nuclear matter is considered m
icroscopically. Equations for the effective pairing interaction in the
semi-infinite matter for the separable form of the NN-interaction are
derived and solved directly, without use of any form of local approxi
mation. Numerical solution is carried out for a separable representati
on of the Paris NN-potential, A version of the local approximation, th
e ''local potential approximation'', is suggested which works sufficie
ntly well even in the surface region, The effective pairing interactio
n obtained in our calculations reveals a strong variation in the surfa
ce region changing from a strong attraction outside the nuclear matter
to almost zero value inside, Thus, it confirms the idea of the surfac
e nature of nuclear pairing. (C) 1998 Elsevier Science B.V.
