Abstract
The role of nuclear medicine in liver imaging has greatly changed over the last decade. This change has involved a switch from a general hep atic imaging method Loa very niche role, with imaging agents and metho ds directed toward very specific clinical problems and conditions. Nuc lear medicine imaging equipment has also continued to evolve. This art icle addresses the roles of radiolabled octreotide imaging, monoclonal antibody imaging, and fluorodeoxyglucose imaging.
