Abstract
A new route for the synthesis of the tricyclo[9.3.1.0(3,8)]pentadecane skeleton, the A/B/C ring system of taxanes, via epoxide (12) from (S) -(+)-carvone using sequential Michael reaction followed by base-induce d oxy-Cope rearrangement and Diels-Alder reaction is described.
