A simultaneous description of the NN and YN interactions is possible i
n the resonating-group formulation of the spin-flavor SU6 quark model
which incorporates the full Fermi-Breit interaction with explicit quar
k-mass dependence nee and tho minimum meson-exchange potentials of sca
lar and pseudo-scalar meson nonets directly coupled to quarks. With a
small number of parameters. satisfactory agreement with experiment is
obtained for tile NN properties and the total and differential cross s
ections of the Lambda N and CN systems. The H-particle binding energy
and Sigma(-)p total cross sections are also discussed.
