Abstract
(E)-1-Benzotriazolyl-3-(phenylsulphonyl)-1-propene (6) has been synthe sized and its alkylation was studied. The results showed that the phen ylsulphonyl group is a more powerful ct-directing group than the benzo triazolyl group in the corresponding 1,3-dihetero-stabilized allyl ani on.
