Abstract
MgxZn1-xSe single crystals were grown by the closed tube sublimation m ethod. The MgxZn1-xSe single crystals crystallized into zincblende and wurtzite structures in the composition ranges of x=0.0-0.1 and x=0.2- 0.6, respectively. Blue and violet emissions with LO phonon replica an d self-activated emissions in the MgxZn1-xSe single crystals were obse rved at 10 K. (C) 1998 American Institute of Physics.
