The preparation and electrochemical properties of Pb2+ ion selective m
embrane sensor have: been studied using zirconium tungstophosphate (ZW
P) cation exchanger as an electroactive material and araldite as binde
r. The detection limit of this membrane for Pb2+ ions is 2.51 x 10(-4)
M with a slope of 38 mV/decade of concentration. The working pH range
for the membrane is 3 to 6 and its response time is <10s to all conce
ntrations.
