This is a report on a case of acute abdominal pain caused by spontaneo
us rupture of the uterus in a fifth gravid, nulliparous woman at 18 pl
us 0 weeks of pregnancy. The rupture was caused by placenta percreta.
This diagnosis was confirmed by histological examination. Conservative
surgery could be performed. Placenta percreta is the most severe grad
e of pathological implantation of the ovum and a very rare complicatio
n of pregnancy.
