Abstract
This is a report on a case of acute abdominal pain caused by spontaneo us rupture of the uterus in a fifth gravid, nulliparous woman at 18 pl us 0 weeks of pregnancy. The rupture was caused by placenta percreta. This diagnosis was confirmed by histological examination. Conservative surgery could be performed. Placenta percreta is the most severe grad e of pathological implantation of the ovum and a very rare complicatio n of pregnancy.
