Abstract
An optical information channel, based on two synchronised chaotically operating lasers with periodic pumping of the active medium, is consid ered. A study is reported of the dynamics of this laser system when ch aotic radiation modulated by an external signal is injected. It is sho wn that information carried by a chaotic signal transmitted by such a channel can be retrieved and an estimate of the permissible width of t he spectrum of the information signal is estimated.
