M. Elfray et J. Slonecki, INFLUENCE OF THE CHEMICAL-COMPOSITION OF POLY[ESTER-BLOCK-ETHER]S ON THE PHASE-STRUCTURE, Journal of macromolecular science. Physics, B37(2), 1998, pp. 143-154
The influence of the chemical composition on the phase structure, and
from this the structure-property relationships, of poly[ester-block-et
her] (PEE) elastomers based on poly(butylene terephthalate) (PET) hard
segments and oligo(alpha,omega-dihydroxy poly(oxytetramethylene)) (PT
MO) and/or dimer fatty acid (DFA) soft segments was investigated using
differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), dynamic mechanical thermal a
nalysis (DMTA), and tensile testing. Differences in thermal and mechan
ical properties with varying hard and soft segment composition are int
erpreted in terms of the phase miscibility of the various polymers stu
died.
