Abstract
The influence of vapour deposited TiNbN and/or of electrodeposited cal cium phosphate coatings on the anodic dissolution of polished and roug hened X5CrNil8.10 stainless steel specimens in 0,9% NaCl solution was investigated. Both coatings are responsible for an increase in the pit ting corrosion resistance. The results were compared with those of sim ilarly prepared and coated TiAlV specimens.
