P. Lejeune et al., COHERENT MANIPULATION OF THE EXCITON ORIENTATION IN QUANTUM-WELLS, Physica status solidi. b, Basic research, 206(1), 1998, pp. 55-63
The demonstrate that the optical orientation of excitons can be cohere
ntly controlled and directly observed in a resonant time-resolved phot
oluminescence experiment. The optical dephasing: time of excitons, the
ir longitudinal and transverse spin relaxation times, and their radiat
ive lifetime, are measured with strictly the same experimental conditi
ons. This technique, which relies on the linear response of the crysta
l, is used to investigate the spin-dependent exciton-exciton interacti
ons.
