Abstract
In tile quantum kinetics regime, i.e. a few tens oi femtoseconds after optical excitation: scattering processes in semiconductors are not co mpleted, thus relaxation has: not yet become irreversible. This opens the fascinating possibility of actually reversing or enhancing uncompl eted scattering-events. We present here nem recent experiments perform ed on tile model semiconductor GaAs, where me use attosecond timescale coherent control to suppress or amplify the phonon oscillations.
