Abstract
Resonant low-frequency Raman scattering experiments performed on CdS-d oped glasses reveal two kinds of peaks: the first one is due to the en tire nanoparticle distribution and is observed for excitation below th e absorption structures of the nanoparticles. The second peak is obser ved when exciting resonantly the nanoparticles and is due to the reson antly excited nanoparticles only; this is a size selective excitation. (C) 1998 Elsevier Science B.V.
