Abstract
Optical tuning of electron concentration in a quantum well is realized in CdTe/(Cd,Mg)Te heterostructures. Effects governed by the exciton-e lectron interaction at low electron density are studied by use of phot oluminescence and reflectivity in magnetic fields and under microwave radiation. Experimental manifestations of bound (negatively charged ex citons) and unbound (combined exciton-cyclotron resonance) exciton-ele ctron states are discussed, (C) 1998 Elsevier Science B.V.
