REFERENCE MATERIALS FOR PAHS IN FOODSTUFFS - RESULTS OF THE CERTIFICATION EXERCISE OF 2 COCONUT OIL REFERENCE MATERIALS

This certification exercise was the final stage of a stepwise interlab oratory study approach, organized within the SMT-program of the EC, fo r the development of certified reference materials (CRMs) for the dete rmination of PAHs in foodstuffs. The certification exercise was carrie d out by thirteen European laboratories using a variety of extraction and clean-up procedures and different analytical procedures. Two diffe rent coconut oil materials were certified for their mass fractions of six selected PAHs.
