STUDY OF THE ORIGINAL FORMS OF TROPICAL DISTURBANCES OF THE PACIFIC-OCEAN BASIN BY REMOTE-SENSING

Based on an analysis of remote space information about tropical distur bances and charts of the surface barometric situation in the northwest ern waters of the Pacific Ocean for 1988 and 1989, systematic data abo ut the space-time characteristics of the original forms of both develo ping and non-developing tropical disturbances have been obtained. Thre e types of typical barometric situations for the occurrence of the ori ginal forms have been identified. A stable relationship between develo ping and non-developing forms of tropical disturbances has been identi fied for the given types of barometric situation.
