Abstract
We propose a new concept for an optical network unit using planar micr olens array for fiber to the home networks. It is expected from this m odeling that an optical coupling loss of 2.5 dB, a polarization depend ent loss of 0.5 dB and an extinction ratio larger than 50 dB can be ac hieved. The structure design and its fabrication method are discussed.
