Mh. Chisholm et al., A DINUCLEAR TUNGSTEN(III) COMPLEX CONTAINING A TUNGSTEN-TUNGSTEN TRIPLE BOND WITH AN ASYMMETRIC ARRANGEMENT OF LIGANDS - [W2CL3(OCME3)(3)(NHME2)(2)], Acta crystallographica. Section C, Crystal structure communications, 54, 1998, pp. 225-227
The title complex, tri-tert-butoxy-1 kappa(2)O,2 kappa O-trichloro-1 k
appa Cl,2 kappa(2)Cl-bis(N,N-dimethylamine)-1 kappa N,2 kappa N-ditung
sten (W-W), [W2Cl3(C4H9O)(3)(C2H7N)(2)], adopts a dinuclear structure
in which two tungsten(III) atoms are united by a W=W bond unsupported
by bridging ligands. Both W atoms are coordinated to four ligand atoms
that lie in a roughly square-planar arrangement The two W atoms have
different coordination environments: one is ligated by two cis-OR grou
ps, one Cl and one HNMe2 ligand, while the other is ligated by two tra
ns-Cl ligands, one OR group and one HNMe2 ligand.
