Gr. Richardson et al., THE RESPONSE ALTERNATIVES OF SUGGESTIBLE AND NON-SUGGESTIBLE ADOLESCENT OFFENDERS, Personality and individual differences, 24(2), 1998, pp. 295-297
The study investigated the response alternatives of suggestible and no
n-suggestible adolescents as assessed by the Gudjonsson Suggestibility
Scale. A theoretical model of interrogative suggestibility (Gudjonsso
n & Clark, 1986) hypothesized that highly suggestible individuals were
particularly susceptible to changing their responses to false-alterna
tive questions following negative feedback during interrogation. The r
esults of the present study did not support this hypothesis in a sampl
e of forensic adolescents. (C) 1998 Elsevier Science Ltd. All rights r
