The Fe-substituted 4b- and 32i-sites of Nd(FexNi1-x)(8.5)Si-2.5 appear
to order magnetically at distinct temperatures which increase linearl
y with x, reaching maximum values of 236 and 138 K, respectively. Fe p
referentially occupies the larger 4b-site. Single-phase specimens do n
ot form for x greater than or equal to 0.35, with this concentration c
