Mj. Jamieson et A. Dalgarno, HOW A CHANGE IN THE INTERACTION POTENTIAL AFFECTS THE S-WAVE SCATTERING LENGTH, Journal of physics. B, Atomic molecular and optical physics, 31(5), 1998, pp. 219-222
The two-potential formula is used to find the change in the s-wave sca
ttering length of a pair of colliding particles induced by a change in
their interaction potential. It is illustrated by a calculation of th
e scattering length of hydrogen atoms interacting through the X (1) Si
gma(g)(+) molecular state. The b (3) Sigma(u)(+) scattering length is
also calculated with a recent potential.
