Abstract
An optical 3R regenerator is demonstrated at 20Gbit/s using a polarisa tion-independent, all-optical decision gate realised by a monolithical ly integrated Michelson interferometer based on semiconductor optical amplifiers. The bit error ratio and jitter suppression capabilities ar e analysed.
